"Writing a Report"- "Your planned visit to Banaue Rice Terraces"

Introduction:

         The aim of this report is to recommend the "Banaue Rice Terraces" as a beautiful place for your group to visit in the Island of Luzon in the Philippines. Where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views and appreciate the Ifugao people who make the Rice Terraces and take good care of it until now.

Background:

          The "Banaue Rice Terraces" are 2000 year-old terraces that are carve into mountains by the ancestors of the Ifugaos. It is said that they build the terraces with their barely hands without using any equipment. The Terraces is located approximately 1,500 metres above sea level and cover 10,360 square kilometres of mountainside. And it is the UNESCO world's heritage site.

Attractions:

        The "Banaue Rice Terraces" or it's also called"Hagdan-hagdang Palayan ng Banawe", is a local and tourists destination in the Philippines because of its beautiful view which looks like a stairway to heaven leading on the sky design. And many hiking trails in the area.

Practical Information:

           From Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, there are air conditioned buses that go directly to Banaue. The trip takes about 9 hours. When you reach the area there is an entrance fee of 15 pesos. Accommodation is available because there are Banaue hotels where you can stay. The best way to appreciate the place is on foot along the many paths. The place is open from 8 a.m to 6 p.m on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

Give the best of you. Give your love because it's the magnet to all the riches of life. When you give love, you are fulfilling the entire purpose of your life. When you give love, you'll receive back so much love and joy that you'll feel it's almost more than you can take. But you can take unlimited love and joy, because it's who you are.

You came into this world with your love and it's the only thing you take with you. While you are here, every time you choose the positive, every time you choose to feel good, you are giving love and with it you light up the world. And everything you can wish for, dream of, you love will follow you wherever you go........ You have the greatest force in the universe within you. And with it, you'll have an amazing life!..........The Power is within YOU..!!!

Chapter 11-"The Power and You"

"The power for happiness, for good, for everything we need of life is within each one of us". Do you see how important it is that you feel good before you begin your day? If you don't take the time to feel good, then you can't receive good things in your day. And once negative things come, it takes far more effort to change them, because once they're in front of you, you really believe in them! It's much easier to take the time to feel good so that they don't come in the first place. You can change anything in your life by changing the way you feel.

Life is magical! What happens in one day of your life is more magical than any fantasy movie you can see, but you have to look at what is happening with the same concentration as when you watch a movie. If you're watching a movie and you fall asleep, you miss what happens. It's the same thing with the movie of your life that is constantly showing on the screen of your day . If you sleep and you're not alert, you miss the messages that are constantly speaking to you, guiding and directing you in your life!

You give the meaning to everything in life. No situation comes with a label of good or bad. Everything is neutral. A relationship isn't good or bad in and of itself, it's just a relationship, but how you feel about it determines whether it will be good or bad.

"As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit".

Chapter 10-"The Power and Health"

What does it mean to be healthy? You may think that being healthy means that you are not sick, but being healthy is far more than that. If you feel okay, everage or nothing much at all, you aren't healthy.

Being healthy is feeling the same way as little children feel. Little children are full of energy every day. Their bodies feel light and flexible; moving is effortless. Their minds are clear, they're happy and free of worry and stress. They sleep deeply and peacefully every night and they wake up feeling completely refreshed, as if with a brand-new-body. They feel passionate and excited about every new day. Look at little children and you will see what being healthy means. It is the way you used to feel and it's the way you should still feel!.

Be grateful for your body instead of finding fault with it. Every time you have a thought of something you don't like about your body, remember that the water inside your body is receiving your feelings. Instead say thank you with all your heart for what you do like about your body and ignore the things you don't like.

Gratitude is the great multiplier, so say thank you for your health every single day. All the money in the world can't buy health, because it's a gift from life, and so more than anything else, be grateful for your health! It's the best health insurance you can ever take, because gratitude is the assurance of health!.

Chapter 9-"The Power and Relationships"

"What you give to others,you give to yourself". Give love to others through kindness, encouragement, support, gratitude or any good feeling and it comes back to you and multiplies itself, bringing love to every other area of your life including your health, money, happiness and career. And if you give negativity to others through criticism, anger, impatience or any bad feeling, and you will receive that negativity back - guaranteed! And as the negativity comes back, it multiplies itself, attracting more negativity, which affects the rest of your life. Remember: "There's no such thing as a small act of kindness".

Life presents everything to you so that you can choose what you love. It doesn't mean you are responsible for other people's happiness. What it means is there's nothing else for you to do but to feel happy yourself. Love is the solution and the answer to every relationships. You can never improve a relationship with negativity. Use the Creation Process for your relationships and give love to receive. Use the Keys to Power to your relationships.

Love can do anything for you! All you have to do is give love by feeling good and negativity in your relationships will fade away. Whenever you are faced with a negative situation in a relationship, the solution is always LOVE! You won't know how it will be solved and you can never know how, but if you maintain feeling good and give love, it will happen....

Chapter 8-"The Power and Money"

How do you feel about the money? Most people would say they love money, but if they don't have enough money, they don't feel good about it at all. If a person has all the money they need, then most certainly they feel good about money. If you look out in the world, you will see that the mojority of people don't feel good about money, because the majority of the world's money and riches is in the hands of about 10% of the people. The only difference between the wealthy people and everyone else is that the wealthy people give more good feelings about money than they do bad feelings. It's as simple as that.

It doesn't matter what financial state you are right now. It doesn't matter what financial state your business, your country or the world is in. There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. There are people who lived during the great depression who overcome it because they knew how to handle those kind of problems. And in fact, poverty is not the hindrance to success. Just keep on going and you can reach what you want in your life...

You are meant to have the money you need to live a full life. You aren't meant to be suffering from a lack of money, because suffering adds negativity to the world. The beauty of life is that when you put love first, all the money you need to live a full life comes to you...Remember that: "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success"..!!!

Chapter 7-"Keys to Power"

The keys to power are the most powerful ways to harness the force of love and receive the life we are meant to live. So how do you fall in love with life? It's the same way you fall in love with another person - you adore everything about them! You fall in love with another person by seeing only love, hearing only love, speaking only love and by feeling love with all your heart! And that is exactly how you use the ultimate power of love to fall in love with life.

The good news is that the more you give love, the more alert and aware we will become! Love brings complete alertness. Your mind is a powerful and magnificent tool you can use, but you must be in control of it. Rather than letting it distruct you with out -of-control thoughts, you want your mind to help you give love.

And take note also guys that we have to be grateful everyday. Be grateful for everything you have received in your life (past). Be grateful for everything you are receiving in your life (present). Be grateful for what you want in your life, as though you have received it (future).

When anything good happens to you in your day, give thanks. It doesn't matter how small it is,say thank you. Every spare second is an opportunity to be grateful and multiply the things you love. Be grateful! Gratitude costs you nothing, but it is worth more than all the riches in the world. Gratitude enriches you with all the riches in life, because whatever you're grateful for multiplies!

Chapter 6-"Life Follows You..."

Life follows us. Absolutely everything we experience in our life is a result of what we have given out in our thoughts and feelings, whether we realize we have given them or not. Life is not happening to us....life is following us. Our destiny is in our hands. Whatever we think, whatever we feel will decide our life.

Everything in life is presented to us for us to choose what we love! Life is like a catalogue and we are the one who chooses what we love from the catalogue! Because the purpose of our life is to love! The purpose of our life is joy. The purpose of our life is to choose the things we love and turn away from the things we don't love by not choosing them.

There are no limits, and everything is possible if we really want it, if we really desire it. We can imagine and feel whatever we want and those will be the pictures we receive in our life. Give love as much as you can, feel as good as you can and the force of love will surround you with people and events that you love. We can be whatever we want. We can do whatever we want. And we can have whatever we want in our life...!!! Because "Love is the greatest power on earth. It conquers all things"...!!!

Chapter 5-"Feeling is Creation"

In every single time we give love, through our feelings, words or actions, we add more love to the field around us. The more love we give, the greater and more powerful is our magnetic field. Whatever is in our magnetic field is attracting to itself and so the more love in our field, the more power we attract to the things we really love.

We know that there is no distance too great, no obstacle it can't overcome; time can't stand in its way. We can change anything in our life by harnessing the greatest power in the universe, and all we have to do is give love!

No matter how big our desire may seem to us, think of it as the size of a dot! We may want a house, car, money, dream job and so on. It doesn't matter what it is we want, think of it as the size of a dot, because for the force of love, what we want is smaller than a dot!

If there is something negative in our life and we want to change it, for example: if you have an illness that you want to be gone, give love for your body being healthy. Creation means something new is created - which automatically replaces the old. We don't need to think about what we want to change. All we have to do is give love for what we want and the force of love will replace the negativity for us.

Life is supposed to be fun! WhEn we are having fun, we feel great and we receive great things! When we take life too seriously, we receive serious things. Having fun brings the life we want and taking things too seriously brings the life we have to take seriously. We have the power over our life and we can use it to design our life in whatever way we want, but for our own sake, lighten up!. 

Chapter 4-"The Power and Creation"

In this chapter I learned how easy it is to harness the force of love for health, career and relationships. With the knowledge, we will be able to change our life into whatever we want. Which is the creation process will help: imagine it. Fell it. Receive it. We can use our mind to focus on and imagine what we desire. Imagine ourself being with our desire. Imagine ourself doing things with our desire. Imagine ourself having our desire.

For example: you desire of having a new car, you can imagine it, imagine yourself you have it, imagine yourself driving your own car and you can find yourself working hard for you to have what you desire.

At the same time as we imagine, we must feel love for what we are imagining. We must imagine and feel being with our desire. We must imagine and feel doing things with our desire. We must imagine and feel having our desire.

And then, the force of love will work through the visible and invisible forces of nature to bring what we desire to us. It will use circumstances, events, and people to give what we love to us.

Think about that whatever we desire we must want it with all our heart. Desire is love, and unless we have a burning desire in our heart, we won't have enough power to harness the force of love. We must really desire what we want, as the teacher desires to teach, an athlete desires to play a sport and so on.

For example: you desire of having a new car, you can imagine it, imagine yourself you have it, imagine yourself driving your own car and you can find yourself working hard for you to have what you desire.

Whatever we want to be in our life, whatever we want to do in our life, whatever we want to have in our life, the creation process is the same. We need to give love to receive love. Imagine it. Feel it. Receive it. 

Chapter 3-"Feeling Frequencies"

When we wake up each morning, we are standing at the tipping point of our day. One way steps us into a wonderful day filled with good things, and the other way tips us into a day filled with problems. We are the one who determines what our day will be-by the way that we feel! Whatever our feeling is what we are giving, and that is exactly what we will receive back in our day, surrounding us wherever we go.

As we begin our day and we are feeling happy, while we keep feeling happy, our day will be great! But if we begin our day in a bad mood, and we do nothing to change it, our day won't be great at all.

When we change the way we feel about a situation, we are giving a different feeling, we are on a different feeling frequency, and the situation must change to our frequency. If something negative has happened in our life, we can change it. It is never too late, because we can always change the way we feel.

One day of good feelings not only changes our day, it changes our tomorrow, and our life! Provided we maintain our good feelings and we go to sleep feeling good, we begin the next day with a momentum of good feelings. And so it continues day after day, and our life gets better and better.

Chapter 2-"The Power of Feelings"

After I read this, I realized that everything in life is about how we feel. Every decision we make in our life is based on how we feel. Like everything else in life, our feelings can be either positive or negative; we have good feelings and bad feelings. And all good feelings come from love! All negative feelings come from a lack of love!.The better we feel, like when we feel joyful, the more love we give out. And the more love we give, the more we receive. The worse we feel, like when we feel hopeless and despair, the more negativity we give out. And the more negativity we give, the more negativity we receive back in life. So we don't have to struggle to change our circumstances of our life; all we have to do is to give love through good feelings, and what we want will appear..!!!

"What is the Power?"

While I was reading it I can picture out in my mind what the author wants to convey to all the readers. That life is easy if we all know how to live it. Our life is made up of only two things; positive things and negative things. Each area of our life, whether it's our health, relationships, money, work or happiness, is  either positive or negative to us. If we have more negative things than positive things in our life, then something is very wrong and we know it. We need the kind of love that the greatest thinkers talked about is very different from what most people understand love to be. It is much more than loving our family, friends and favourite things, because love is not just a feeling: Love is a positive force of life.! Which is love is the cause of everything positive and good. Take a moment to think about it: the positive force of love can create anything good, increase the good things and change anything negative in our life....We have the power over our health, our career, our relationships and every area of our life. And the power-love-is inside us...!!!

Hey guyz..! Welcome back...!!!

I'm very sorry if I haven't been writing for a long time. It's just that I had been preparing for my exam, mainly because I need to study hard for my mid-session assessment. But now I'm back again and willing to share what am I doing recently. Well, our teacher told us to borrow  one of the books from library that we want to read and write about what we've learnt from it. What we understand. And share it to others. Speaking of book, my friend and I went to the library and borrow one book. At first it's so difficult to choose because there are so many good and interesting books to read. That's why I don't know what to choose out of it. I used half an hour there just to find the good book. So my friend helped me and she gave me the book entitled "The Secret the Power", when I read the first and second page of the book I found out it's very interesting, educational and the words are easy to understand. Its show you the way to an amazing life. Which is that there is so much for us to know about life and it is all good. In fact, it is beyond good. The book contains of chapters, there are 12 chapters and it has different topics. It's all about the power to have an amazing life. 

Christmas season in the Philippines...!!!

Christmas season! The most awaited and exciting holiday in the Philippines. Once the month of September started, different kinds and styles of Philippine christmas lanterns called"parol" would be hang on every Filipino homes.

As early as September through October people are beginning to look for christmas ornaments, adornments and trimmings. Others are just be contented setting up their old christmas trees adorning them with colourful and glittering christmas balls, ribbons, bells and chains. Lanterns are taken out and displayed outdoors of every Filipino homes, offices, schools, shopping malls and even streets are adorned with these multi-coloured lanterns. You may find mini lanterns hang on buses, jeepney's and cars too.

Christmas or "Pasko" is the most awaited celebration and the happiest event in the Philippines. This is also the time of the year when family get together, especially when family members from overseas come home with lots of gifts "Pasalubong", exchanging gifts and the family feast highlight the most loved celebration.

What makes the Filipino Christmas unique? Well, Filipinos have a lot of christmas tradition which makes us different from the other, here are some of them...

• Parol is a traditional Filipino christmas decoration, a five point star-shaped christmas lantern. Originally made of thin bamboo frames and covered with coloured plastic or with Japanese paper. It has two tails that serve as the rays of the star.
• Parol represents the Filipino innovation, creativity and it's the greatest expression of christmas spirit.
• Parol making is not only a christmas symbol, it is a sign of hope for lots of parol makers. Parol making business is a source of income for lots of Filipinos. They make parol as early as June, a lot of them are sold in the market from October. Parol vendors can be found everywhere, you can see them on the side walks, bus stops, jeepney stops or even along the highway.

Christmas in the Philippines is filled with unique family oriented traditions. It is the most important holiday in the country and in every Christian family. Christmas is even more important than one's own birthday. Being a predominately christian country, where most people are Roman Catholics, Filipinos truly keep Christ in heart in christmas. The celebrations are all centered on family and commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. 

Historical Place in the Philippines (Rizal Park or Luneta Park)

There are so many historical places you can find in the Philippines but I want to share this with you...

The premier park of the Philippines, Rizal Park ( also known as Luneta Park) is an urban and historical park located in the heart of Manila City, the Capital of the Philippines. It is officially called "Rizal Park" in honor of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the country's National Hero who was executed in this place on December 30, 1896. During the Spanish period, it was known as "Bagumbayan" meaning "new town". Luneta Park has been the site of some of the most significant moments in the Philippine history.

Showcasing the country's culture and heritage, the park is a major tourists attraction in the City of Manila. It is also the favourite spot for strolling and for families to have picnics especially on Sundays and Holidays. On the Western end of the park is Quirino Grandstand where important events such as the celebration of Independence Day are held. Across the Rizal Monument is a large flagpole that also serves as the point from which road distance in the Philippines are measured.

Nowadays, the park is a favourite place for dating and for family picnics because of its spacious grassy lawns open-air concert hall that features live entertainment and music.

The park is a public space, hence, it is always open to everyone. The best time to go there, however, is early in the morning or late in the afternoon, in time for viewing Manila Bay's sunset or for exploring the park's dining and entertainment.

New Year's Eve - Filipinos way

Filipinos consider New Year's Eve a time of celebration for the entire family. Most Filipinos also follow a traditional beliefs that if the family spends until of midnight together, then it will stay together for the entire year. 

New Year's Eve celebration in the Philippines is quite different compared to other countries. Filipinos will start the year with a bang. Just a few days before New Year's Eve, you can see lots of side walk vendors selling different kinds of paputok (firecrackers). We called it "watusi, triangle, sintoron ni hudas" and many others that only found in the Philippines. Despite of the yearly ban of firecrackers because of a number of accidents caused by it that resulted in the loss of lives, burnt of properties and many more, still many Filipinos see lighting of firecrackers as the traditional means to greet and celebrate the New Year's Eve.

Aside from lighting firecrackers and having fireworks displays, Filipinos have other beliefs and practices which are believed to bring good luck, fortune and prosperity in the New Year.

• The noise and the firecrackers are believe to take the evil spirit away and make the New Year blessed.
• You should put coins/money in your wallet and pocket so that next year will be prosperous.
• Some people believe that they need to pay off their debts in the hope that they will not get into debts throughout the year.

Around 12:20 a.m, the noise stops and the family gather together and starts to eat a thanksgiving feast called "Media Noche". It is believe that we should put as much food on the table so that next year you will have food all -year round. "Twelve round fruits" should be on the table as it is a sign of prosperity for the next twelve months. There is also a midnight mass celebration to welcome the New Year and to thank God for all His blessings.
  

Flores de Mayo - Queen of Filipino Festivals

Would you like to know the queen of Filipino festivals? What would it be like?...hmmmm maybe you're thinking of that..

Filipino's likes fiestas.They celebrated all-year round. May is the merriest and the most beautiful month of the year. It's the season of colorful festivals and Flores de Mayo or we called it "Santacruzan" is one such festivals. Stop and smell the fragrance of flowers during the month of May in the Philippines.

Flores de Mayo? Its sounds strange right?..! Well, that's the Catholic festival celebrated by all the Christians all over the Philippines to honor the Virgin Mary. They gather the colorful flowers to decorate the Church altars and aisles. Many towns celebrate Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May) with the people gathered together in the afternoon to pray the rosary, offer flowers to the Virgin Mary and share homemade snacks.

"Santacruzan" is a religious-historical beauty pageant held in many cities and even small villages in the warm month of May and is considered as the "Queen of Filipino Festivals". And guess what?..its not just like that because there's a colorful pageant parade participated by the beautiful Filipina maidens wearing their gowns and their handsome escorts wearing Barong Tagalog under the hand-carried bamboo arc's decorated by beatiful native flowers.

It's really nice and enjoyable, you can feel the happiness of all the people participated in that event through their smiles.

Since I'm a native Filipino, I just want to share with you guyz this beautiful and meaningful "Poem" and let me know how do feel about it...is it nice...? We are capable to choose our own friend so choose carefully. The one that really faithful in your frienship, you can trust, and always there to comfort you during your good and bad moments. Here I am again...!!!

Now I would like to share with you the last film that I watched is "3 idiots" by Rajkumar Hirani. It's an Indian Hindi comedy film which tells the interesting story of 3 best friends studying in an engineering college Farhan, Raju ,and Rancho.

You'll be thinking what might be the story behind 3 friends? Well, its goes like this...Farhan, Raju and Rancho are three engineering students who share a room in a hostel at Imperial College of Engineering (ICE). Farhan is studying engineering to pursue his father's wish which is against his own wish to become a photographer. Raju is studying to raise his family. While Rancho studies just for fun.

Despite his fun and craziness, Rancho always surprises everyone by joking in class. He even win the hearts of the director's medical daughter Pia. But the greatest contribution of Rancho is making his friends realize their true ambition in life. Of what they really want to be.

Despite their differences they had been true friends. 3 idiots is a story of friendship, hope, aspirations, and most of all the goodness of life.

I can recommend the film because it's really nice and more fun. I think I watched this thrice because I really like the story. While watching you can relate in yourself as the same time you can learn more about frienship and life. If you haven't watch it yet then I can say that you have to watch it..it's really interesting. Don't miss it guys....!

Hey guyz...? How are you today..?

I'm back again and now I have something to share with you guys. Well, how have you been doing lately? I'm very sorry for I couldn't keep in touch with you for so long. I thought I'd write and tell you what I have been up to. I can't really believe that I'm here now in Malaysia, even in my dream I didn't dream of coming here you know, but here I am now studying at AIU.

As you know I hardly ever travel so I was quite nervous about my studying far away from home. But it seems that this is the best decision I had ever made for myself. And now I'm almost 5 months here and guess what?..hmmm the most interesting part is that I met a lot of people from different countries. It's really nice and now I have a lot of friends here.

Well, I'll tell you something about our university. It's so beautiful, the buildings are so nice. They provide us everything that we need particularly high quality of education and of course with many facilities that we can use without any charge(free). We have our female hostels which is three people occupied in each room. And I really like our teachers and all the staff of our university because they gave us moral support and they treat us so nice and kind. I'm so happy, thankful and blessed being one of the scholars students in AIU.

Well, that's it for tonight! I have to go get some sleep! I would love to hear about you. Blog again tomorrow.
